Savvy Chic Bags - Your Best Online Source for Affordable Fashion Handbags and Accessories

Welcome to Savvy Chic Bags's Blog!

Savvy Chic Bags is an online handbag and fashion accessories boutique. In 2010, like so many other small retailers we had to close our beautiful boutique located on Ellsworth Ave. in Pittsburgh's Shadyside shopping district as a result of the economic climate.

But you can still shop Savvy Chic Bags online at http://www.scbags.com/, and we still specialize in unique, trendy, and most of all affordable handbags and fashion accessories.

And check this blog often for fashion information, new arrivals, and anything fashion related, and some things that aren't!

Drop 3 sizes in 10 Minutes??

Yesterday our friend Sarah Spencer from Ardyss International put on a showcase at Savvy Chic Bags, and what my business partner Denise M. and I found most interesting was their shapewear (think Spanx). Their garments are "therapeutic" because in addition to redistributing your body fat and redefining the shape of your body, the garments apparently help with correcting your posture and helps your body's lymphatic system to drain properly. Well, I don't know about all that, but two of Sarah's guests tried on the shapewear garments and the results were pretty amazing. One woman was wearing a thin and lightweight clingy summer top, and when she put on the garment she was all curvy and shapely! She was thrilled because she didn't have anymore under arm fat (you know what I'm talking about, the fat that spills out over the sides of your bra ;-) But she really did look great--she looked naturally firm, and her waist was much smaller and more defined, and what really surprised me is that although she was wearing a thin and clingy top, you couldn't tell she was wearing the garment at all, and you couldn't see it's construction through the top. These garments are supposed to be much better and more comfortable than your normal shapewear, and they claim to help you lose weight as well, but I'm still trying to decide if this type of thing is for me. But I'm wondering what you Spanx wearing ladies out there think about these types of shapewear, and have any of you tried any of these Ardyss garments?

  1. This sounds very interesting. I would be interested in purchasing that type of garment. I'm tired of working out, although I know it's good for you. Thank for the info. Denise! ;-)

  2. You're welcome! I know what you mean Kim--it's a constant struggle. The garments are actually supposed to help you lose weight and inches along with helping you look much more shapely so I'm thinking it may be a good idea. Sarah is having another showcase on March 8th at 1:00 pm at Savvy Chic Bags. Everyone is welcome so if you can make it, come and see the demonstration for yourself.
